New Feature for the SPX Daily Outlook
We are excited to announce a new feature of our SPX Daily Outlook. Starting Monday, January 29th we will begin posting more detailed trade updates throughout the trading day. Currently we only post when we enter and exit the trades. Starting Monday, we will give more details as to what we are watching during the trade. These updates will focus on what we are looking at for possible stop levels as we monitor our trade. This will be in a similar fashion to what we currently share in the Spread Trader and Aggressive Trader with updated stop levels. We’ll share when we are adjusting our stop, and what level or trailing % we will be focusing on. Here are a few examples:
- Consider watching the 4890 level in SPX and 488 level in SPY as Possible Stop Levels.
- Consider using about a 30% trailing stop on option positions.
We will post these updates as we monitor our trade in real time each day. Now, please understand that some trades move so fast, there is no time for updates to be shared. Due to fast-moving market conditions, we may at times exit a trade before we are able to update the stop level. Each trader must make their own trading decisions based upon their own risk analysis and market conditions.
But our hope is that by sharing how we are analyzing the market in real-time; it will help our members learn our strategy more effectively. Now you will have updates posted throughout the trade to help you understand what we are looking at to determine our exit point in the Daily Outlook trades. Please be sure and read through our Trader Guidelines for more information on what we are looking at during the trade each day.
Please note that the fastest and most reliable method of viewing our updates is always live on our website. Emails and push notifications will also be sent out if you have chosen those formats. But be aware that both emails and push notifications can be delayed at times.
We trust that you will find this new feature helpful to you in your trading. If you have any questions, please reach out to us.
Sincerely,
SPX Option Trader
